Will I also be invited to the mammography screening if I'm covered by private health insurance?
Women covered by private health insurance are also invited to the Mammography Screening Program. Women covered by both statutory and private health insurance are entitled to the breast cancer screening examination through the Mammography Screening Program.
Women 50 to 69 years of age are identified using the data from the registration offices. The registration offices are inevitably (data protection) unaware if a woman has statutory or private health insurance. The registration offices forward the addresses to the main offices. These main offices send the same invitation letter along with information about the breast cancer screening program to both women covered by statutory and private health insurance.
