What's discussed during the information consultation?

The information consultation prior to the examination allows you to learn more about the mammography in addition to the information you received in the mammography screening brochure included with the invitation. A screening physician will explain the Mammography Screening Program examination during the consultation, along with possible benefits and drawbacks. During the consultation you will be able to discuss your questions about the mammography screening with the screening physician.

This consultation is not a substitute for a personal consultation with your treating gynaecologist about cancer screening, where your personal risk factors for developing breast cancer can also be discussed.
