I don't wish to participate. If I do need to be treated for breast cancer, will this eventually lead to expenses for me from the health insurance?

You're entitled to a mammography screening every two years and will be invited to one. Whether you decide to have this examination or not is entirely your decision. It will not affect your health insurance coverage. If you do develop breast cancer, your health insurance will of course pay the diagnostic and treatment expenses.
